Wind and Rain Don’t Stop Festival! 2015

On Monday before the 13th Annual Heritage Festival the weather was sunny with temperatures in the 80’s. On Thursday the wind began to blow. On Saturday morning, four large tents, all of the pop-up, and some smaller tents were down. Three hours before the starting time of the festival, several volunteers began lifting the downed tents off the tables and moving tables and chairs into our new addition. The serving line was placed at one end if the room and a make-shift “stage” at the other . Vendors, demonstrators, and crafters found spaces inside the museum on Saturday. On Sunday the sun came out and the vendors, demonstrators and crafters moved to the outdoors. What started as a very grim-looking festival on Saturday turned into one of the biggest and best we have had!
