A Monthly Program Meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23 at the museum. A program on the Little Salamonie Church will be presented by JCHS board members Deana Powell and Dylan Lewis.

The church, located at the corner of Boundary Pike and CR 300 E, is thought to be the county’s first congregation. The church is known by various names, including Little Salamonie Church, Lower Salamonie Church and Little Salamonie Christian Church. It has stood empty for several years and during the past several months has been the topic of whether or not to demolish it.

Deana and Dylan will be showing photographs and discussing the history of the church. The public is invited to attend this free presentation.
